This leather strap bracelet is made from full-grain Cordovan leather, so there's no need to introduce an almost "eternal" leather that not only develops a patina over time, but also becomes stronger with age.

Cordovan leather is handcrafted, a speciality held in the US by HORWEEN for over 50 years.
Etymologically speaking, the term "cordovan" comes from "cordobán", which means "from Cordoba" (Córdoba in Spanish). At the end of the 16th century, cordovan was used to designate a goat's leather treated with vegetable tanning. Cordovan craftsmen used this leather to make wall decorations, chests and ornate armour.
It was not until the 19th century that the word cordovan was used to designate horsehide. The Germans, who had mastered the art of tanning cordovan, called it "Spiegelware". This word literally means "mirror merchandise" ("Ware" meaning merchandise and "Spiegel" meaning mirror) and refers to the shiny appearance of the leather when it is polished.
It was around this time that German and Dutch tanners moved to the United States, where they perfected the tanning process to make cordovan more supple and therefore more suitable for making shoes. A legendary cordovan tannery These days, when you think of cordovan, the name of one tannery springs immediately to mind: Horween. It produces most of the cordovan found on the market. The tannery carries on the tradition of tanning this leather, and its seal is considered a guarantee of quality. It was founded in 1905 by Isadore Horween and is now run by Nick Horween. In its early days, Horween produced mainly cordovan leather for use as razor sharpening leather. However, with the invention of the disposable razor, demand collapsed and the company had to diversify its range. Today, a must-have for lovers of top-of-the-range shoes, it can also be found around wrists to show off a superb timepiece or simply as men's jewellery.
