In 1970, Omega offers to all its customers a model nicknamed "Electronic" which will be marketed until the end of the 70's.

Several watches used this technology with diapason of which the Seamaster, the Constellation as well as the Geneva.

It should be remembered that Omega built its reputation on the quality and precision of its watches, which allowed the brand to become one of the official timekeepers of the Olympic Games from 1932.

The Seamaster 9164 Electronic F300 Hz Chronometer model takes its name from the number of oscillations per second performed by the movement - 1 oscillation being equal to 1 hertz.

DESCRIPTION : 

Nice 70’s Omega Seamaster ref 9164. Original matte black toned dial with applied markers looks fantastic.

The OMEGA piece for sale here is extremely rare, it is a matte black dial with the possibility of having the date and day (daydate).

It is topped by the Omega logo on a red background, typical of the 70's.

Its cosmetic condition is average, it has suffered the infections of time with a surface become dull and matte, with some bubbles signs of oxidation and humidity on the surface (check carefully pictures please).

It has two feets on the back and is signed on the backside Beyeler Geneva.
