Original Rolex 1970's folded oyster fliplock bracelet reference 9315 with 380 (20mm) endpieces in preowned condition.
First version Rolex watchband with fliplock system ! The first fliplock been created on bracelet rivets #7206 for Sea-Dweller Single Red 1665 Prototype 500m.
This bracelet 9315 is solid, more comfortable and lighter than 93150, it fits perfectly on your wrist and fits most perfectly.
Some collectors always fits this bracelet for comfort and look.Fits on the Rolex submariner range #5513 - 1680 (Red) - 1665, 1665 DRSD -5512 (last series) and 1665 ( with 385 endlinks )Fits perfectly on a Tudor 79090-76100-7016 ...
The earlier version of the bracelet is known as the Patent Pending and is more expensive for its rarity and from demand by Double Red Seadweller collectors.
Another remark is a particularity, as the clasp inside is engraved “PATETED” instead of “PATENTED”. This dates the clasp back to around the same period that the serial number indicates, namely 1972.
They are stamped from 67 to 70 on the clasp and have Pateted stamped on the diver expansion when it is unfolded.
It is not critical to have the exact year of your watch stamped on your bracelet or the date on the caseback. A bracelet that is dated a year or two after the caseback is perfectly fine.
Unfortunately in order to shorten the bracelet, links have to be removed by a watchmaker or jeweller.
It is also difficult to reinstall the links once removed and the links will be bent out of shape.
