HOW TO USE ? :
We have to insert the Rolex Submariner (or another Rolex oyster watch) into a sealed glass bulb that is half-filled with water.
Since the air pressure at sea level is about 1.0 bar, so too is the pressure inside the watch case. Once the case is sealed inside the Vacuum Tester, a partial vacuum is created by pumping air out of the glass bulb so that the watch case’s internal pressure is higher. So we then lowered the watch into the water and looked for bubbles escaping from the case. If there had been a leak, the bubbles would leak out from any of the vulnerable spots, such as the crown, the caseback, or the crystal, and the watchmaker would know where to start replacing gaskets.
